Mosman | Thoughtful Preparation

The Brief

Our client had lived in this Mosman home for many years. It was the kind of home that holds a family’s history in its walls, and preparing it for sale required as much care for what it meant as for how it would be presented.

With a demanding full-time role and the emotional weight of the process to carry, they needed someone they could rely on completely to manage the day-to-day complexity while remaining central to the decisions that mattered most. DeCelisGreen was engaged to coordinate the full preparation process, working closely alongside our client at every stage so that nothing was left to chance and nothing of significance was decided without them.

The Strategy

We began with a thorough assessment of what the property required, identifying works that would deliver genuine presentation lift without over-capitalising ahead of the sale. From there we coordinated all necessary trades, including a locksmith, a handyman, and a painter to refresh the interiors and restore a sense of light throughout. Multiple quotes were obtained, schedules managed, and all site attendance handled, so our client never had to take time away from work to meet a contractor or chase a timeline.

Decluttering a long-held home requires sensitivity as much as practicality, and we worked carefully with our client to create space without losing the warmth the home had accumulated over decades. Pool compliance was also required and managed in full, engaging a specialist from inspection through to certification, ensuring nothing stood in the way of a clean campaign.

The styling brief required particular care. This was not a home to be stripped of its character and dressed in neutral linen. Several pieces held genuine sentimental value and deserved to remain. Working closely with our client, we engaged a stylist who understood how to honour the home’s history while presenting it at its best, a skill not every stylist brings to the table.

The Outcome

By the time the home was ready for market, it had been transformed without being unrecognised. The presentation reflected the quality and warmth of a home that had been genuinely loved, which is precisely what the right buyer needed to feel.

For our client, the process was handled with care and close collaboration at every stage. They remained informed and central to the decisions that mattered, without carrying the weight of coordination, negotiation with trades, or the emotional difficulty of preparing a cherished home alone.

Considered, thorough, and deeply respectful of what the home represented. Preparation that protects both presentation and the people behind it.
