Mosman | Apartment Transformation
The Brief
Having purchased this substantial character home in Mosman through DeCelisGreen, our clients were eager to make it their own before moving in. The home had wonderful bones and genuine warmth, and the scope of work required was broad enough that a considered approach was needed from the outset.
We engaged an interior designer early in the process to help our clients work through what the home needed, bringing clarity and direction to decisions that might otherwise have been overwhelming. From those conversations a clear scope emerged: paint throughout, sand and stain the existing hardwood floors, lay new flooring in the studio above the garage, update the lighting, close off an existing wall opening, and furnish the home entirely before the family arrived.
The goal was a home that felt considered, comfortable, and completely ready from the first day.
The Strategy
With a move-in date fixed and a comprehensive scope to coordinate, sequencing was everything. The cosmetic works needed to be completed and signed off before the floors could be finished, and the floors needed to be done before furniture could arrive. We mapped the programme carefully and managed each trade against it.
We oversaw the painting throughout, the sanding and staining of the hardwood floors, and the laying of new flooring in the studio, ensuring each finish met the standard the home deserved. The wall opening was closed off cleanly, and new lighting was selected and installed to complement the character of the interiors.
With the trades complete and the home taking shape, we turned our attention to furnishing. Working closely with the interior designer and our clients, we curated a furniture selection that suited the scale and warmth of the home, ensuring each space felt intentional and liveable rather than simply filled. The brief was not to style a property but to furnish a family home, and that distinction guided every decision.
The Outcome
By the time our clients arrived, the home was complete. Freshly painted, beautifully finished floors, new lighting throughout, and every room furnished and ready for daily life.
What could have been a complicated and stressful pre-move period was handled entirely on their behalf, allowing them to arrive not to a project in progress but to a home that was already theirs.
Methodical, considered, and entirely focused on the handover. Project management that ensures the first day feels exactly as it should.
