The Brief
Following the successful purchase of their generous dual-level apartment in Mosman, our client engaged DeCelisGreen to project manage a comprehensive internal renovation prior to moving in.
While the apartment offered exceptional scale, light, and sweeping views across to the Heads and Manly, the interiors required modernisation to align with the clients way of life. The objective was to refine and elevate it, creating a cohesive, contemporary environment that felt intentional and considered throughout.
The scope of works included opening up the kitchen visually to the adjoining dining and living areas through a new kitchen design and layout, a full renovation of the ensuite, main bathroom, powder room and laundry, new flooring, and complete repainting.
A clear deadline was set: the home needed to be finished and ready for occupation before Christmas.
The Strategy
Our focus was on intelligent design decisions and careful project management.
While the apartment’s footprint remained unchanged, the kitchen was completely redesigned to improve flow, functionality and connection to the living spaces. The new layout maximised storage, enhanced usability and created a stronger visual relationship with the dining and lounge areas, significantly improving how the home is experienced day-to-day.
All wet areas were fully renovated with a consistent material palette to ensure cohesion across both levels. Attention was paid to practical storage solutions, durable finishes and timeless detailing.
New timber flooring and carpet were installed to introduce warmth and continuity, and the entire apartment was freshly painted to unify the interiors.
Working closely with a trusted builder, we managed the entire process, coordinating trades, overseeing procurement, controlling timelines, supervising delivery, and maintaining quality and accountability at every stage. With a fixed pre-Christmas completion date, careful sequencing and clear communication were essential to keeping the program on track and ensuring a seamless handover.
The Outcome
Through thoughtful design refinement and careful execution, the apartment evolved from dated to contemporary, retaining its generous scale while now feeling cohesive, warm and highly functional.
The redesigned kitchen now anchors the living zone with clarity and purpose. The renewed bathrooms and laundry elevate everyday liveability and the flooring and fresh paintwork provide a calm, sophisticated backdrop.
Delivered on schedule, the client was able to move in before Christmas, not into a renovation project, but into a completed home.
